The West Village features national retailers such as Brooks Brothers, Ralph Lauren, Gap, Banana Republic, Tommy Bahama and Ann Taylor Loft, along with a strong mix of local fashion such as Octane, Bella Bella, and Cowboy Cool, along with some of Dallas’ most successful restaurants including MiCocina, Taco Diner, Ferre, Cru, Tom Tom Noodle House, The Fish and Village Burger Bar. The unique design and the imaginative retail and restaurant mix has made West Village Dallas’ most important and successful mixed use venue. The pedestrian-friendly atmosphere, the unique outdoor dining arrangement, and convenient parking have combined to make West Village Uptown’s Downtown.
Completed in 2001, the West Village includes 120,000 square feet of retail and 179 residential units. Recent additions to the West Village District have added another 100,000 square feet of retail space and 395 residential units over the next five years. The West Village District will add another 100,000-150,000 square feet of retail space to support the rapidly growing Uptown residential community.
The Cityplace development also includes Cityplace Market on the east side of Central Expressway. Anchored by Target, Ross Dress for Less and a 14-screen Loews Cinema, this center contains 288,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space. Cityplace Market is a value-oriented power center which supports the entire intown Dallas community.
Together, West Village and Cityplace Market provide the key retail components necessary to support the vibrant residential growth in Uptown, and other parts of Dallas’ rapidly growing urban core.
