The Fish was started six years ago in Houston by two guys, Michael Collins and Daniel Chang, who had a vision of making sushi trendy. Instead of a traditional Japanese restaurant we wanted to make the place more hip and contemporary. Midtown was just getting off the ground and was one of the first mixed-use developments in Houston. We saw great potential in the area for tremendous growth so we went for it! With the perfect location and the freshest seafood, The Fish has been a huge hit and phenomenal success.
We are now ready to bring the same excitement to Dallas! With our original architect, Issac Preminger, we set out to duplicate the same posh atmosphere that we have in Houston. We intend to be a great addition to the Uptown neighborhood! The Fish has a cool, contemporary bar scene with great sushi as well as a full kitchen menu at fair prices. Two of our most popular dishes are the Licketty Split and the Rib-eye rolls. The Licketty Split is tuna, salmon and yellowtail joined with avocado and drizzled with our famous spicy sauce. There is a soft shell crawfish at each end to add the finishing touch to this delectable dish. The Rib-eye roll is thinly sliced rib-eye rolled over rich avocados sprinkled with a sweet house sauce. Both are highly regarded by our regular patrons.
The FishDallas is 4,000 square feet with rich, plush colors, a glamorous decor, and has been built with top-of-the-line materials. We have a wine room that holds 2,500 bottles of wine and seats 12. We also have a full size sushi bar that seats 14 with Chef Vu taking care of each and every custromer. There's a drinking bar that can seat 17 and a lounge for those that like to see and be seen.
We are located at 3636 McKinney Avenue, directly across McKinney Avenue from the West Village. For more information please call 214.522.0071. |
